There are also some home remedies you can use to relieve the itchiness caused by neuro eczema. Over the counter medications such as non-prescription hydrocortisone cream can temporarily relieve the itch, while non-prescription anti-histamines can help relieve more sever itching.

If you scratch at night in your sleep, you may find relief in covering the area with bandages or dressing so you cannot scratch the area. Cool baths can help relieve the itch as well. Putting a few sprinkles of uncooked oatmeal, baking soda, or colloidal oatmeal (such as Aveeno or other products) can relieve itching.

Keeping your nails trimmed and short can help minimize damage to your skin. This is especially helpful if you scratch at night in your sleep. You can also wear smooth textured clothing to minimize irritation and use mild soap free of dyes and perfumes to keep itchiness at bay.
